A total of 63 cadets from the Sea Cadet Corps, Kochi, participated in a week-long orientation camp at the Indian Naval Academy, gaining valuable insight into the life and training of future officers of the Indian Navy.
The immersive programme provided the cadets with a unique opportunity to experience the rigours, discipline and camaraderie that define officer training at India’s premier naval training institution.
During the camp, the young cadets were exposed to various aspects of academy life, including physical training, leadership development, military discipline and the routines followed by officer trainees undergoing transformation into naval leaders.

The initiative offered participants a first-hand glimpse into the demanding yet rewarding journey undertaken by cadets at the Indian Naval Academy, helping them better understand the responsibilities and challenges associated with a career in naval service.
Officials noted that the programme was designed to inspire and motivate young cadets by familiarising them with the values, traditions and professional standards of the Indian Navy.

Throughout the week, participants interacted with academy personnel and observed training activities, gaining a deeper appreciation of the commitment, teamwork and leadership required to serve as officers in the Armed Forces.
