The Additional Director General (ADG), NCC Directorate West Bengal & Sikkim, visited 14 Bengal NCC Battalion and interacted with more than 250 NCC cadets, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and Principals at Krishnanagar Government College, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to nurturing future leaders and responsible citizens.
During the interaction, the ADG highlighted the enduring values of discipline, leadership, integrity and selfless service, encouraging cadets to embody the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline” in their personal and professional lives. He urged the young cadets to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building and become agents of positive change in society.

As part of the programme, the ADG felicitated outstanding cadets and ANOs for their achievements and exemplary performance, recognising their dedication, commitment and contributions to the NCC movement.
Later, the ADG visited 14 Bengal Battalion NCC, Muragacha, under the Kalyani Group, where he reviewed ongoing training and administrative activities. He interacted with members of the NCC fraternity and assessed various initiatives aimed at enhancing cadet training and overall organisational effectiveness.

The visit provided an opportunity to evaluate the battalion’s efforts in promoting leadership development, character building and social responsibility among cadets. The ADG appreciated the professionalism and dedication displayed by the staff and instructors in shaping the next generation of youth leaders.
Officials noted that the interaction reinforced the NCC’s pivotal role in developing confident, responsible and socially conscious young citizens committed to serving the nation. The visit also highlighted the organisation’s continued focus on instilling values of discipline, patriotism and service among India’s youth.
