Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla visited the Central Ordnance Depot (COD), Agra, to review its operational readiness and logistics capabilities, underscoring the vital role of military logistics in sustaining the Indian Army’s combat effectiveness.
During the visit, Lt Gen Aujla assessed the depot’s preparedness to support operational requirements and ensure the timely availability of critical military equipment, weapons, vehicles and stores essential for frontline formations.

The review highlighted the Central Ordnance Depot’s pivotal role in maintaining an uninterrupted logistics chain, enabling combat units to remain mission-ready under all operational conditions. Officials briefed the senior commander on the depot’s inventory management, maintenance systems and logistics support mechanisms designed to enhance operational efficiency.
Commending the officers, soldiers and civilian staff, Lt Gen Aujla praised their professionalism, precision and unwavering commitment in ensuring seamless logistical support to the Indian Army. He emphasised that effective logistics remains a decisive force multiplier, providing the foundation for operational success across diverse theatres.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on strengthening logistics infrastructure, improving sustainment capabilities and maintaining a high level of readiness to support future operational requirements.

The interaction also served as a morale booster for the personnel of COD Agra, recognising their indispensable contribution to ensuring that every mission is backed by a resilient, efficient and dependable logistics network.
