Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, visited Base Hospital Lucknow on June 4, 2026, where he inaugurated a state-of-the-art Dermatosurgery Complex at the hospital’s Department of Dermatology.
The newly established facility marks a significant enhancement in specialised healthcare infrastructure and is aimed at providing advanced dermatological and dermatosurgical services to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sengupta reviewed the new facility and appreciated the efforts undertaken to strengthen patient-centric healthcare delivery within the Armed Forces Medical Services.
The modern dermatosurgery complex is expected to improve the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin disorders while expanding the hospital’s capability to perform specialised dermatological procedures using advanced medical technologies.
Officials stated that the initiative reflects the Armed Forces Medical Services’ continued focus on upgrading medical infrastructure and ensuring access to high-quality healthcare for the Armed Forces community.
The Army Commander highlighted the importance of modern medical facilities in enhancing patient care and commended the medical staff for their dedication to maintaining high standards of healthcare services.
