Lieutenant General Rajesh Sethi, AVSM, SM, VSM, assumed command of the Delhi Area on 11 June 2026, taking over one of the Indian Army’s key operational and administrative formations.
A highly accomplished officer with a distinguished military career, Lt Gen Sethi brings extensive leadership experience, operational expertise and a proven record of dedicated service to his new appointment. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of important command, staff and instructional assignments, earning recognition for his professionalism, commitment and exemplary leadership.
On assuming command, Lt Gen Sethi took charge of the formation responsible for a wide range of operational, administrative and ceremonial responsibilities in the National Capital Region.
The officer’s exemplary service, steadfast leadership and unwavering dedication to duty have inspired confidence across the formation as he begins his tenure as General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area.
