Major Amit Kumar Dalal of the Indian Army’s 19 Mechanised Infantry has brought pride to the nation by successfully completing the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course 2025–26 in Kenya with outstanding achievements. The High Commission of India congratulated Major Amit Kumar Dalal on his successful completion of the prestigious course conducted at the Joint Command and Staff College, Karen, and the National Defence University, Kenya.

Major Dalal secured the second overall position among 95 officers from 19 countries, marking a significant achievement for the Indian Army on an international military training platform.

He was also adjudged the Best Student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies and graduated with Distinction from the National Defence University, Kenya.

The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course is an important professional military education programme designed to prepare officers for higher command and staff responsibilities. The postgraduate programme in Defence and Strategic Studies is aimed at deepening officers’ understanding of national security, regional security challenges, military strategy, defence policy and the role of armed forces in a changing global environment.

Major Dalal belongs to 19 Mechanised Infantry, a distinguished unit of the Indian Army’s Mechanised Infantry Regiment. Officers from mechanised formations are trained to operate in fast-moving, technology-intensive and highly coordinated battlefield environments.
