Bengaluru, July 27: The Advance Supply Chain Management & Food Technology Course for officers of the Army Service Corps (ASC) concluded successfully at the ASC Centre & College, Bengaluru, on July 27, 2026. The specialised course was designed to enhance professional expertise in military logistics, supply chain management, and food technology, equipping officers to meet the evolving logistical requirements of the Indian Army.

The course brought together Army Service Corps officers for intensive training focused on modern supply chain practices, operational logistics, food technology, and the integration of emerging technologies into military sustainment systems. The programme aimed to strengthen officers’ ability to ensure seamless logistical support for military operations across diverse operational environments.

Addressing the valedictory ceremony, Lieutenant General JK Gera, Commandant, ASC Centre & College, emphasised the growing importance of domain expertise in sustaining operational readiness. He highlighted the need for continuous adoption of emerging technologies, innovative logistics solutions, and global best practices to enhance the efficiency and resilience of military supply chains.

Lieutenant General Gera also underscored the significance of stronger civil-military collaboration in advancing logistics management and food technology. He noted that partnerships with industry, academia, and research institutions would play a vital role in modernising military logistics and ensuring uninterrupted support to operational formations under all conditions.

The Commandant encouraged the officers to remain committed to continuous learning and innovation as the character of warfare and military logistics continues to evolve. He stressed that an agile, technology-driven logistics system remains a critical force multiplier in enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Indian Armed Forces.

During the closing ceremony, Colonel Ajay Kant Bhadouria was adjudged the Best Student of the course in recognition of his outstanding academic performance, professional competence, and overall excellence throughout the training programme.
