A key highlight of the review was the implementation of an Automated Firing Range Scoring System, which significantly enhances the quality of marksmanship training by providing real-time, accurate, and objective assessment of firing performance. The system is expected to improve training efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enable soldiers to refine their shooting skills through immediate feedback and data-driven evaluation.

The Army Commander also reviewed the brigade’s adoption of innovative and sustainable solutions, including geothermal projects. Such initiatives not only improve self-reliance in remote operational areas but also contribute towards efficient energy management and environmental sustainability. The integration of these technologies reflects the Indian Army’s growing emphasis on leveraging modern engineering solutions to support operational requirements while reducing logistical challenges.

Interacting with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and soldiers, Lt Gen Sengupta commended the Tripeak Brigade for embracing innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. He encouraged all ranks to remain adaptive, technologically proficient, and professionally committed as warfare continues to evolve with the rapid integration of advanced systems, automation, and emerging technologies.

The Army Commander emphasized that future military success will depend not only on the courage and determination of soldiers but also on their ability to effectively exploit cutting-edge technologies, modern equipment, and innovative operational concepts. He urged the formation to continue exploring indigenous and niche technological solutions that enhance mission capability while strengthening operational resilience.

The Tripeak Brigade’s ongoing initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s broader vision of technology-driven transformation, aligning with its modernization roadmap to build a highly agile, capable, and future-ready force. By integrating advanced equipment, smart training systems, and sustainable infrastructure, the brigade is setting a strong example of how innovation can directly contribute to enhanced combat readiness.

Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta’s visit reaffirmed Surya Command’s commitment to accelerating capability development across its formations and ensuring that every unit remains prepared to effectively address the complex security challenges of the future. The review highlighted that modernization, technological innovation, and operational preparedness will continue to remain central pillars of the Indian Army’s mission to safeguard the nation’s interests in an increasingly dynamic strategic environment.
