Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, visited The Infantry School, Mhow on 2 July 2026 to review its training, technological advancements and operational preparedness.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on contemporary training methodologies, technology absorption initiatives and key administrative aspects aimed at preparing soldiers for the evolving character of modern warfare.

Lt Gen Sengupta also visited the institution’s training areas, where he reviewed the state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced drone training facilities established to enhance the combat capabilities of future infantry leaders.

Addressing the faculty and staff, the Army Commander commended their unwavering dedication, professionalism and commitment to developing a future-ready infantry force capable of meeting the challenges of the modern battlefield.

The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on integrating emerging technologies with traditional military excellence to strengthen operational readiness and maintain combat effectiveness in an increasingly dynamic security environment.
