Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, visited the School of Artillery on 3 July 2026 to review its training infrastructure and discuss the future of technology-enabled military education.
During the visit, the Army Commander delivered an address on “Re-imagining Operational Art for Multi-Domain Operations,” emphasising the evolving character of modern warfare and the need for innovation, adaptability and technology-driven military capabilities to meet emerging battlefield challenges.

Lt Gen Sengupta also reviewed the institution’s state-of-the-art training infrastructure, developed to enhance battlefield surveillance, precision targeting and long-range firepower, enabling artillery personnel to operate effectively in future conflicts.

The Army Commander held discussions with Lieutenant General N. S. Sarna, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, Commandant of the School of Artillery, on advancing technology-enabled training methodologies aimed at developing a future-ready and operationally agile force.

The visit underscored the Indian Army’s continued focus on modernising training institutions and preparing leaders and gunners to excel in increasingly complex multi-domain battlefield environments.
