Major General Mandeep Saini assumed charge as the Additional Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (Education & Services) at the Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) on 1 July 2026.
An alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and a nationally renowned Radiologist, Maj Gen Saini takes over the prestigious appointment following a successful tenure as Brigadier (Administration) at AFMC Pune.
With a distinguished military career spanning more than three decades, the General Officer has held several key clinical and administrative appointments across the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). His extensive experience reflects exceptional professional competence, visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to advancing military healthcare.
In his new role, Maj Gen Saini will contribute to strengthening medical education, healthcare administration and operational medical support within the Armed Forces, further enhancing the AFMS’ capability to provide world-class medical services to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
