The NCC Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee, hosted the End-of-Term Course Dinner for the PRCN JD Course, marking the successful culmination of the training programme for Cadet Training Officers (CTOs). The event celebrated the spirit of camaraderie, professional excellence and the enduring bonds forged during the rigorous course, while reaffirming the Academy’s commitment to developing capable leaders for the National Cadet Corps.
The formal dinner was attended by Major General Sarabjit Singh Bakshi, SM, VSM, Commandant, NCC Officers Training Academy, along with the officers of the Academy, who interacted with the Cadet Training Officers of the passing-out course. The interaction provided an opportunity to reflect on the trainees’ journey, recognise their dedication and encourage them as they prepare to assume their responsibilities as Associate NCC Officers.
The evening highlighted the values of teamwork, mutual respect and professional fellowship that form the cornerstone of military leadership and NCC training. It also served as a platform to strengthen the relationships built among the trainees and instructors throughout the course.
The successful completion of the PRCN JD Course represents an important milestone in preparing Cadet Training Officers to lead and mentor NCC cadets across educational institutions. The Academy’s comprehensive training programme equips future Associate NCC Officers with the leadership qualities, instructional skills and organisational abilities required to effectively guide young cadets while promoting discipline, character development and patriotism.
Addressing the participants, the Academy leadership emphasised the importance of upholding the highest traditions of leadership, discipline and selfless service. The officers were encouraged to carry forward the values instilled during the course and contribute towards nurturing responsible, confident and socially committed youth through the National Cadet Corps.
