A CDS aspirant in New Delhi managed to appear for his examination after Delhi Police personnel stepped in at the last moment and helped him reach the correct examination centre with just one minute to spare.
The incident took place on September 13, 2026, when the aspirant mistakenly arrived at the wrong examination centre for his Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination.
With only three minutes remaining before the deadline, SHO North Avenue Ramesh Kumar and his team at Police Station North Avenue came to the aspirant’s assistance.
Realising the urgency of the situation, the police team quickly escorted the candidate to his designated examination centre at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kali Badi, New Delhi.
Despite the extremely limited time available, the team managed to get the aspirant to the examination centre with just one minute to spare, enabling him to enter the centre and appear for the CDS examination.
The timely intervention demonstrated the importance of quick decision-making and prompt assistance, particularly when every second mattered for the candidate.
Delhi Police appreciated the efforts of the North Avenue Police Station team, highlighting their presence of mind, swift response and citizen-first approach.
