The Kumaon Regimental Centre (KRC) at Ranikhet celebrated Hindi Pakhwada 2026 from September 7 to 19, highlighting the importance of Hindi and encouraging its progressive use as an official language across the military establishment.
The two-week celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from personnel of all ranks in a series of competitions and activities aimed at promoting greater use of Hindi in official work as well as creative expression.
Various events, including poster-making, Hindi typing, original poetry writing, essay writing and speech competitions, were organised during the Pakhwada. Personnel participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their linguistic abilities, creativity and appreciation for the language.

The initiative was aimed at encouraging the progressive use of Rajbhasha Hindi while creating greater awareness about its role in official communication.
Hindi Pakhwada 2026 concluded at the Kumaon Regimental Centre on September 19 with a closing ceremony. Winners of the various competitions organised during the fortnight were felicitated for their performances.

The celebrations reflected the Centre’s efforts to promote Hindi through participation, creativity and greater adoption of the language in day-to-day official activities.
