Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited the Headquarters of the Dakshin Maharashtra and Goa Sub Area, where he reviewed key aspects related to operational effectiveness, station administration and ongoing organisational initiatives.
During the visit, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar was briefed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Sub Area and the Station Commander, Pune, on various measures being undertaken to enhance the formation’s operational efficiency and administrative functioning.
The Army Commander took stock of the initiatives aimed at maintaining high standards of preparedness while ensuring effective management of the military station and its associated establishments.
Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar appreciated the professionalism, dedication and commitment displayed by the personnel of the formation. He exhorted all ranks to continue pursuing excellence and uphold the finest traditions and values of the Indian Army.
As part of the visit, Commendation Cards were also presented to deserving personnel in recognition of their exemplary contribution, dedication and distinguished performance of duties.
The visit highlighted Southern Command’s continued focus on operational effectiveness, efficient administration and recognition of personnel whose efforts contribute towards maintaining the high professional standards of the Indian Army.
