Maj Gen Jitendra Singh, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area, and Chairman of the Local Board of Administration, visited Sainik School Tilaiya to review the institution’s academic and administrative functioning.
During the visit, the General Officer reviewed various aspects of academics, administration, student welfare and residential facilities available to the cadets. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the school’s overall functioning and the environment being provided for the academic and personal development of its students.
Maj Gen Jitendra Singh also interacted with students and faculty members, emphasising the importance of academic excellence, character building, leadership and resilience in preparing young cadets for future responsibilities.
Addressing the students, he encouraged them to remain focused on their goals and pursue their aspirations of joining the Indian Armed Forces. He highlighted the values of discipline, courage and dedication while motivating the cadets to prepare themselves for a life of service to the nation.
The interaction also underscored the role of Sainik Schools in developing leadership qualities, confidence and a strong sense of responsibility among students, while providing them with an environment conducive to preparing for careers in the Armed Forces and other fields.
The visit reaffirmed the commitment towards nurturing responsible, confident and future-ready citizens capable of contributing meaningfully to the country.
