A two-week Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Defence Acquisition Management” was organised by the Faculty of Resource Management at the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, from September 21 to October 3, 2026.
The programme focused on the nuances of Capability Acquisition and covered policies, procedures, challenges and diverse perspectives related to the defence acquisition process.

The MDP featured intensive classroom discussions and sessions by expert guest speakers. The programme provided participating officers an opportunity to examine various aspects of Capability Acquisition through classroom-based discussions and expert inputs.
A total of 25 officers from the Tri-Services and the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) attended the programme.

As part of the programme, the participants also gained exposure through visits to T-Hub and T-Works. The visits formed part of the programme’s engagement with institutions and provided participants with additional exposure during the two-week MDP.
The programme was conducted by the Faculty of Resource Management at the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, with the focus on policies, procedures and challenges associated with Capability Acquisition.

The Management Development Programme concluded on October 3 after two weeks of classroom discussions, expert interactions and institutional exposure for officers from the Tri-Services and DGAFMS.
