Havildar Jangkhokai Kuki, who laid down his life in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district, was laid to rest with full military honours during a solemn ceremony at Medziphema in Nagaland.
Senior military leadership, fellow soldiers, family members and well-wishers paid their final respects to the braveheart, remembering his courage, devotion to duty and service to the nation.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps and the Director General of Assam Rifles paid tributes to Havildar Jangkhokai Kuki and laid wreaths in his honour. The ceremony reflected the Armed Forces’ respect for the soldier who made the supreme sacrifice while serving in a challenging operational environment.
Havildar Jangkhokai Kuki lost his life while performing his duties in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The region, located along India’s northeastern frontier, has witnessed security operations over the years, with Army and Assam Rifles personnel maintaining a presence across difficult terrain.

The Armed Forces remembered Havildar Kuki for his bravery, professionalism and selfless commitment to duty. Paying tribute to the fallen soldier, the military said his courage and sacrifice would continue to inspire generations.
The final rites at Medziphema were conducted with full military honours, marking a solemn farewell to a soldier who served the country until his last breath.
