As part of Operation Sadbhavana, a National Integration Tour comprising 20 students and 4 teachers from the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch visited the School of Artillery (SoA), Deolali on 6 November 2025. The visit aimed to broaden the studentsโ perspectives, foster national pride, and offer them firsthand exposure to the Indian Armyโs operational and training environment.
Inspiring Young Minds through Exposure and Interaction
During their visit, the students interacted with the Commandant, School of Artillery, who shared insights on leadership, discipline, and career opportunities within the Indian Armed Forces. The interaction encouraged the young participants to dream big, develop confidence, and cultivate a spirit of service and unity.

Exploring Modern Military Training Infrastructure
The visiting delegation was given a guided tour of the School of Artilleryโs modern training facilities, including simulation systems, instructional halls, and advanced equipment used in gunnery training. The students were briefed on the role of artillery in national defence and its evolution with cutting-edge technology.

Thrilling Live Firing Experience
The highlight of the visit was the studentsโ opportunity to witness a live artillery firing demonstration, offering a rare glimpse into the precision, power, and professionalism of the Indian Armyโs gunners. The display left a lasting impression on the students, instilling admiration and respect for the armed forces.

The tour, part of the Indian Armyโs ongoing Operation Sadbhavana initiative, aims to build bridges between border communities and the rest of the country by promoting national integration, education, and mutual understanding.
