Northern Command Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited the Nowshera and Bimber Gali sectors along the Line of Control to assess ground-level operational preparedness and frontline readiness.
During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops deployed in forward areas and commended their high morale, professionalism, and sustained operational efficiency despite challenging terrain and security conditions. He lauded their commitment to safeguarding the nationโs borders and maintaining round-the-clock vigilance.

Lt Gen Sharma was briefed by field commanders on the latest enhancements to surveillance grids, including upgraded sensors, improved observation systems, and integrated monitoring networks. Officials also highlighted advancements in precision engagement capabilities designed to ensure swift, effective response against hostile activity.
The briefing further covered a range of future-ready operational measures instituted to maintain a robust defensive posture, including strengthened counter-infiltration mechanisms, improved logistics in high-threat zones, and technology-driven battlefield awareness tools.

The Army Commander appreciated the synergised efforts of units operating in the area and reiterated the Northern Commandโs focus on operational excellence, innovation, and readiness to meet evolving security challenges along the LoC.

His visit underscored the Indian Armyโs commitment to ensuring fortified defences and maintaining stability in sensitive border sectors.
