The United Kingdom Army contingent arrived in India for the upcoming edition of Exercise Ajeya Warrior 2025, marking yet another chapter in the longstanding defence partnership between the two nations. A total of 120 personnel from the 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles landed at Air Force Station, Palam, on 15 November 2025 before proceeding to the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, where the bilateral exercise will be conducted.
Upon arrival, the contingent was accorded a warm and traditional welcome by a ceremonial detail of the Indian Army, represented by the valiant and battle-hardened SIKH Regiment. The reception highlighted the mutual respect, camaraderie and shared martial ethos that underpin the IndiaโUK defence relationship.

The latest edition of Ajeya Warrior, scheduled to commence on 17 November 2025, will witness soldiers of both armies carrying out joint training, tactical drills, field exercises and the exchange of operational experiences. The exercise aims to enhance interoperability, refine sub-unit level coordination and improve combined operational capabilities, particularly in counter-insurgency and high-intensity combat environments.

Exercise Ajeya Warrior stands as a testament to the deepening military cooperation between India and the United Kingdom, fostering professional excellence, mutual trust and battlefield synergy between two elite armies.
