Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), along with Prime Aero Services LLP, has acquired a majority stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd (FSTC), India’s largest independent flight training and simulation provider, in a deal valued at ₹820 crore. The acquisition marks a major expansion of Adani Defence’s aviation training and services ecosystem.
FSTC currently operates 11 full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft, enabling a wide spectrum of pilot training offerings including commercial pilot licences, type-rating courses, recurrent training, and specialised aviation skill programs. The company is certified by both the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), reflecting compliance with leading global standards.
With state-of-the-art simulation centres in Gurugram and Hyderabad, and one of India’s largest flying schools located in Bhiwani and Narnaul, Haryana, FSTC has built a strong national presence and a deep training ecosystem. This infrastructure gives it significant potential to scale in both civil and defence aviation training sectors.
The acquisition comes at a time when India’s pilot training landscape is undergoing rapid transformation. Simulator-based training—long established in civil aviation—is increasingly being adopted by the armed forces due to its safety, cost-efficiency, and role in enhancing mission readiness.
ADSTL CEO Ashish Rajvanshi described the acquisition as a key step toward building a fully integrated aviation services platform. FSTC’s addition strengthens Adani Defence’s existing portfolio, which already includes MRO leaders Air Works and Indamer Technics, creating a unified capability spanning civil maintenance, general aviation MRO, defence MRO, and end-to-end pilot training.
India’s civil aviation sector is expected to add more than 1,500 new aircraft in the coming years, driving enormous demand for trained pilots. In parallel, the government’s push for enhanced simulation-based defence training presents new opportunities in the defence aviation ecosystem.
Adani Defence aims to leverage FSTC’s expertise to boost next-generation defence pilot training and support emerging requirements in simulation, mission rehearsal, and integrated aviation operations.
ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), with Horizon Aero Solutions Ltd (HASL)—a joint venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP—operating as a step-down subsidiary under AEL, enabling seamless synergy across the aviation value chain.
