Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, conducted a visit to forward locations along the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur to review the prevailing security situation and operational readiness of troops deployed in the region.

During the visit, the GOC assessed the level of preparedness at key forward posts and interacted with ground commanders, who briefed him on the current security dynamics and ongoing operations aimed at ensuring stability along the sensitive border belt.

Lt Gen Pendharkar commended the Assam Rifles for their professionalism, dedication, and critical role in maintaining peace and security in the region. He lauded the troops for their relentless efforts in countering challenges posed by insurgency, cross-border movement, and emerging security scenarios.

The visit reaffirmed the Armyโs commitment to safeguarding Indiaโs borders and supporting peace efforts in Manipurโs border areas.
