Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited the School of Artillery at Devlali to review ongoing training, education and capability development initiatives being undertaken at the premier artillery training institution.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on advanced training methodologies, Professional Military Education (PME) programmes and various administrative initiatives aimed at sustaining high standards of instruction. The briefing highlighted efforts to modernise training content and delivery in line with evolving operational requirements.

Interacting with the faculty and instructors, Lt Gen Seth emphasised the importance of continuously aligning training with contemporary battlefield dynamics and emerging challenges. He underscored the need for adaptability, innovation and professional excellence to prepare officers and soldiers for future conflicts. In recognition of exemplary service, he also felicitated distinguished individuals for their outstanding contributions to training and institutional excellence.

The Army Commander reviewed key training infrastructure, including the Drone Experience Centre, and appreciated the School of Artillery for establishing robust systems that support outcome-oriented training and effective technology absorption. He commended the institutionโs focus on integrating modern technologies to develop agile and future-ready military leaders.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Armyโs commitment to excellence in training, professional military education and technological advancement to meet the demands of modern warfare.
