The Deep Strikers of Kharga Corps successfully conducted an operational validation of Kharga Chakra, a 100-km electronic warfare (EW)-resilient fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), at the Mahajan Field Firing Range.

The UAV has been jointly developed by Chennai-based start-ups in collaboration with the Deep Strikers Eagle team, marking a significant milestone in indigenous drone development for the Indian Army. Designed to operate in contested electromagnetic environments, Kharga Chakra demonstrated robust endurance, navigation accuracy, and resilience against EW threats during the trial.
The validation was witnessed by Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, who commended the teams for advancing critical unmanned capabilities through innovation and indigenisation. He noted that such platforms enhance operational reach, situational awareness, and precision in modern battlefields.
The successful trial underscores the Army’s push towards Atmanirbharta in defence, strengthening home-grown solutions in UAV technologies and accelerating their induction for operational use.
