Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, visited Vadodara Military Station to review the operational preparedness of the First In Battle Air Defence Brigade.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the recently inducted state-of-the-art radars that have significantly enhanced the formationโs surveillance and airspace management capabilities. He also reviewed the cutting-edge repair facility established to sustain intensive air defence operations, enabling rapid maintenance, higher equipment availability, and enhanced operational endurance.

Lt Gen Seth lauded the brigadeโs exemplary performance during Operation SINDOOR, highlighting its critical role in the robust defence of airspace during the operation. He commended the formation for maintaining a consistently high state of mission readiness while seamlessly integrating advanced, niche, and mission-critical technologies into operational employment.

The Army Commander noted that the brigadeโs professionalism, technological integration, and preparedness reflect unwavering operational excellence, reinforcing the Indian Armyโs layered air defence posture and its ability to counter evolving aerial threats effectively.
