General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, witnessed the spectacular Republic Day Camp 2026 parade on January 14, 2026, and interacted with National Cadet Corps cadets drawn from across the country.

During the visit, the COAS engaged with the young cadets, lauding their discipline, enthusiasm, and commitment to nation-building. He inspired them to pursue excellence in all fields while upholding the values of integrity, leadership, and service, and felicitated outstanding performers for their achievements.

On the occasion, Cadet Priya Kumari, Band Captain of the NER Directorateโs all-girls brass band, was awarded the COAS Medallion. The honour recognises her exceptional leadership, hard work, and dedication, and highlights the growing role of young women in the NCC and the Armed Forcesโ ecosystem.

The interaction underscored the Indian Armyโs enduring bond with the NCC and its commitment to nurturing disciplined, confident, and socially responsible youth who represent the nationโs future leadership.
