Lt Gen DS Kushwah, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa (MG&G) Area, visited Nagpur, Kamptee and Pulgaon Military Stations from January 19 to 22, 2026, to review operational, training and logistics preparedness across key Army establishments.

During the visit, Lt Gen Kushwah presided over the Military–Civil Fusion Conclave, organised under the aegis of the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area. The conclave focused on enhancing civil–military synergy, coordination with civil administration, and collaborative approaches to strengthen operational effectiveness and national resilience.
The Army Commander also visited the Central Ammunition Depot Pulgaon, where he reviewed security arrangements and logistics infrastructure, emphasising the importance of robust storage, safety protocols and efficient supply chains in sustaining operational readiness.

At Kamptee Military Station, Lt Gen Kushwah inspected the Guard Regimental Centre, the APS Wing of the Army Public School, and various units stationed in the area. At the GRC, he appreciated the innovative training initiatives being undertaken for Agniveers, highlighting the role of modern methodologies in shaping disciplined, capable and future-ready soldiers.
The visit also included an interaction at the JSR Dynamics defence industry facility, underlining the Army’s growing engagement with the domestic defence manufacturing sector to support self-reliance and technological advancement.

Throughout the visit, Lt Gen Kushwah stressed the importance of training excellence, inter-agency synergy and continuous innovation, reaffirming the MG&G Area’s commitment to maintaining high standards of preparedness and professionalism across all formations and establishments.
