Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), along with Mrs Shashi Tripathi, President of the Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA), interacted with retired naval officers and their spouses during the Annual Reunion Samman 2026, held at NOM Varuna on 08 February 2026.
Addressing the veterans, the CNS briefed them on recent developments and ongoing initiatives in the Indian Navy, and expressed gratitude for their enduring contributions to the Service and the nation. The interaction reflected the Navy’s continued emphasis on maintaining strong bonds with its veteran community.
To support attendees, multiple help desks were set up during the event to assist with matters related to service records, pensions, ECHS, CSD and banking, ensuring prompt guidance and grievance redressal.
A key highlight of the reunion was the release of the Annual Navy Foundation Magazine, ‘Quarterdeck 2025’, by Admiral Tripathi, marking another milestone in preserving and celebrating the Navy’s rich professional legacy.
The event underscored the Indian Navy’s respect for its veterans and its commitment to their welfare, while fostering camaraderie across generations of naval service.
