Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, chaired the weekly Joint Control Centres security review meeting in virtual mode, focusing on the evolving security situation across Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by senior military leadership along with senior officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and other key security stakeholders from the Srinagar and Jammu divisions, reflecting a whole-of-security approach to regional stability.

Deliberations centred on strengthening intelligence sharing mechanisms, boosting joint operational readiness and refining inter-agency synergy to counter emerging and evolving terror threats. The forum also reviewed ongoing counter-terrorism measures and assessed the effectiveness of coordination at various operational levels.

The Army Commander emphasised the importance of seamless cooperation, timely intelligence exchange and proactive planning among all agencies to maintain pressure on terrorist networks and ensure sustained security across the region. The meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment of all stakeholders to a robust and integrated counter-terrorism framework.
