Director General BSF Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS, conferred prestigious awards and the Sword of Honour to the First Among Equals of the batch during the Passing Out Parade ceremony, recognising exceptional merit and leadership among the newly commissioned officers.
The coveted Sword of Honour was presented to Shri Sunil Kumar, Assistant Commandant, who emerged as the outstanding officer of the batch. He earned the distinguished honour for his overall best performance across physical tests, written examinations, firing proficiency, and outdoor exercises. The Sword of Honour symbolises exemplary dedication, discipline, professional excellence, and leadership — values that reflect the true spirit and ethos of the Border Security Force.

In addition to the Sword of Honour, Shri Sunil Kumar was also awarded the A S Aulakh Medal and Running Trophy for being adjudged the All Round Best Trainee of the batch. His consistent performance across all training parameters set him apart as a benchmark of excellence for his peers.
The Director’s Baton for immaculately commanding the Passing Out Parade was awarded to Shri Dheeraj Singh Madnawat, Assistant Commandant. The honour recognised his exceptional parade leadership, drill precision, and command presence during the ceremonial culmination of the training program.

The awards ceremony highlighted the BSF’s commitment to nurturing leadership, discipline, and professional competence among its officers, reinforcing the standards of excellence that define the Force.
