The Indian Army showcased a wide spectrum of indigenous artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at the India AI Summit, highlighting its transformation into a data-centric, AI-enabled force aligned with India’s vision of technological self-reliance and secure digital capability.
At the summit, the Army presented multiple AI platforms designed with strong dual-use potential, benefiting both defence operations and civilian applications. These systems reflect a decisive shift towards integrating advanced technologies to enhance operational effectiveness, governance support and national resilience.
Among the key solutions on display was AI Examiner, an automated assessment and feedback system for education and training, and SAM-UN, a geospatial, AI-enabled situational awareness platform supporting mission planning, disaster response and smart command centres. The Army also highlighted EKAM (AI-as-a-Service), a secure, air-gapped indigenous AI cloud ensuring data sovereignty and protected processing.
Other notable innovations included PRAKSHEPAN, an AI-driven climatology and disaster prediction system providing early warnings for floods, landslides and avalanches; XFace, an AI-based facial recognition tool for security and identity verification; and Nabh Drishti, a mobile telemetry-based real-time reporting and visualisation platform. Solutions such as Driver Fatigue Detection, AI-in-a-Box for edge deployments, AI-enabled Vehicle Tracking Systems, and Deepfake Detection and AI Cyber Security tools further demonstrated the Army’s focus on safety, logistics optimisation and protection of critical digital infrastructure.
Collectively, these initiatives underscore the Indian Army’s commitment to building a secure, networked and AI-empowered ecosystem—strengthening defence preparedness while simultaneously contributing to disaster management, cybersecurity and broader national development goals.
