108 Engineering Officers Pass Out from Air Force Technical College

Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia reviews parade as Dornier, Mi-17 flypast and Air Devils skydiving display mark the ceremony.

Officers Saluting

A total of 108 Engineering Officers, including nine officers from Friendly Foreign Countries – Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Ghana and Uganda, graduated from the Air Force Technical College (AFTC) during the Passing Out Parade held on March 7, 2026.

The parade was reviewed by Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia, AOM, who served as the Reviewing Officer for the ceremony.

Focus on Innovation and Self-Reliance

Addressing the newly commissioned officers, Air Marshal Ghuratia urged them to prepare for the challenges of modern warfare through innovation, teamwork and self-reliance. He emphasised the importance of technical excellence and adaptability in supporting the Indian Air Force’s operational capabilities in evolving war scenarios.

Spectacular Aerial Displays

The event featured a splendid flypast by Dornier aircraft and Mi-17 helicopters, which drew enthusiastic applause from the spectators attending the ceremony.

Adding to the excitement, the ‘Air Devils’ skydiving team of the Indian Air Force performed a thrilling demonstration, showcasing precision and professionalism in aerial manoeuvres.

Air Warrior Drill Team Impresses Audience

The ceremony also witnessed an impressive display by the all-women Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT), whose synchronised drill performance was widely appreciated by the audience.

The passing out of the engineering officers marks an important milestone in the Indian Air Force’s commitment to developing highly skilled technical leaders, who will play a crucial role in maintaining advanced aircraft systems and supporting operational readiness.
