Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra, UYSM, AVSM, VM has assumed charge as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Policy Planning & Force Development) at Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS).
In his new role, the Air Marshal will play a key role in strategic policy formulation, long-term force development planning, and strengthening joint operational frameworks among the three services of the Indian Armed Forces.
Extensive Operational and Staff Experience
Prior to taking up this appointment, Air Marshal Vohra held several important operational and staff positions in the Indian Air Force, where he made significant contributions to operational planning, policy development, and capability enhancement initiatives.
His vast experience in strategic planning and force development is expected to contribute to the modernisation and integration of India’s military capabilities.

Boost to Tri-Services Coordination
The appointment is expected to further strengthen tri-services coordination, joint policy directives, and integrated capability development, aligning with the vision of the Raksha Mantri for enhanced inter-service synergy and jointness.
