The Combat Leadership Course at the NCO Academy concluded on March 28, 2026, marking the successful completion of an intensive training programme for Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).

The course featured a specialised curriculum designed to equip NCOs with contemporary operational insights and combat leadership proficiencies tailored to a technology-centric battlefield environment. Participants underwent rigorous training aimed at enhancing decision-making, tactical awareness, and adaptability in modern warfare scenarios.
Brigadier Lalit Sharma, Shaurya Chakra, Sena Medal, Commandant of the academy, addressed the participants and shared valuable insights on the “Decade of Transformation” and evolving geopolitical dynamics shaping future conflicts.

Recognising excellence, Naik Bharat Singh of the Rajput Regiment was awarded the Army Commander Army Training Command Trophy for being adjudged the overall Best Student.
Additionally, the inaugural “Best Techno Warrior” Trophy was presented to Naik Narinder Singh of the Regiment of Artillery for demonstrating exceptional proficiency in leveraging technology in combat scenarios.

The course highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to empower its NCO cadre with advanced skills and leadership qualities, ensuring readiness for the challenges of next-generation warfare.
