The India Field Hospital Level-II Plus deployed in Goma under the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) has been awarded the prestigious Force Commander’s Unit Citation in recognition of its exceptional service in UN peacekeeping operations.
The award was presented by Brigadier TKS Sekhon, Commander Central Sector and National Senior & Acting Deputy Force Commander, during his official visit on April 8, 2026.

The citation honours the dedication, professionalism, and exemplary healthcare services rendered by personnel of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), both past and present, who have been serving in challenging operational conditions in the conflict-affected region.
