Lieutenant General Puneet Ahuja, AVSM, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff at Headquarters Western Command and Patron of the Army Institute of Law (AIL), graced the institute’s Annual Day Celebration as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Mrs Anureet Ahuja, Regional Vice President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), who attended as the Guest of Honour.
The event began with vibrant cultural performances by students, showcasing creativity and talent, and concluded with the distribution of scholarships and trophies. Awards were presented to recognise academic excellence, research contributions, and a wide range of outstanding achievements across disciplines over the past year.

Educational scholarships instituted by Headquarters Western Command were also awarded to meritorious students from the first to fourth year, highlighting the Army’s continued support for quality education and youth development.

Addressing the gathering, Lt Gen Ahuja encouraged students to pursue excellence with integrity and remain committed to lifelong learning. He urged them to contribute meaningfully to nation-building and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in their respective fields.

The event reflected the Army Institute of Law’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, while reinforcing the Indian Army’s broader vision of nurturing future leaders equipped with knowledge, values, and a sense of national responsibility.
