Surgeon Vice Admiral Vivek Hande, Director General (Organisation & Personnel), Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), visited a Field Hospital of the Tiger Division on May 6, 2026, to review its operational readiness and medical capabilities.
During the visit, the Flag Officer was briefed on the full spectrum of the hospital’s operational capabilities, including advanced resuscitation services, deployable surgical facilities, and efficient casualty evacuation arrangements. These capabilities are critical for providing timely and effective medical support in combat and field conditions.
Surg VAdm Hande toured the unit and appreciated the high level of operational preparedness maintained by the medical teams. He also interacted with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and troops, acknowledging their dedication, discipline, and professional competence.
He lauded the unit for its cohesive functioning, high morale, and unwavering readiness to deliver quality combat medical support across diverse and challenging operational environments.
