Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir to review the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness in the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander assessed existing security dynamics and reviewed the summer operational strategy being implemented across forward areas to counter emerging threats and maintain effective domination along the LoC.

Lt Gen Sharma interacted with troops deployed in frontline locations and appreciated their unwavering spirit, operational expertise, and tireless commitment towards safeguarding the nation under demanding conditions.

He encouraged all ranks to continue striving for excellence in operational capability while remaining vigilant, responsive, and combat-ready at all times.
The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s sustained focus on maintaining a high level of preparedness, surveillance, and operational effectiveness along the sensitive Line of Control in North Kashmir.
