The Assam Regimental Centre in Shillong hosted a grand Attestation and Passing Out Parade (POP) for 726 Agniveers and Territorial Army recruits, marking the successful culmination of their military training and induction into service.
The parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohit Wadhwa, General Officer Commanding, 101 Area.

The ceremony showcased the discipline, professionalism, and military skills acquired by the recruits during their rigorous training period, transforming them into confident and combat-ready soldiers prepared to serve the nation.
Addressing the young soldiers, the reviewing officer congratulated them on successfully completing their training and encouraged them to uphold the highest traditions, values, and ethos of the Indian Army throughout their careers.

Officials noted that the graduating batch reflected India’s rich diversity, bringing together recruits from different regions, religions, languages, and cultural backgrounds under the common spirit of national service.
The Eastern Command extended its best wishes to the newly inducted soldiers and expressed confidence that they would serve the nation with honour, courage, and dedication.

The Passing Out Parade marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Agniveers and Territorial Army recruits as they embark on their journey in the service of the nation.
