A grand Passing Out Parade (POP) for 1,602 Agniveers of the 7th Batch was held at the Bengal Engineer Group and Centre (BEG & Centre), Roorkee, on May 30, 2026, marking the successful culmination of their military training.
The parade was reviewed by the Centre Commandant, who inspected the contingents and congratulated the young Agniveers on successfully completing their rigorous training and transforming into future-ready Combat Engineers of the Indian Army.

The newly trained soldiers demonstrated exceptional drill, discipline, military bearing and professionalism, reflecting the high standards of training imparted at one of the Army’s premier engineering institutions.
Throughout the training period, the Agniveers underwent intensive physical conditioning, military skills training, combat engineering instruction and technical education designed to prepare them for modern battlefield challenges and operational responsibilities.

Addressing the passing-out soldiers, the reviewing officer encouraged them to uphold the Indian Army’s ethos of “Service Before Self” while embodying the proud Sapper credo of “Sarvatra”—Everywhere.
Officials stated that the newly inducted Agniveers are now equipped with the technical expertise, operational skills and resilience required to contribute effectively to military operations and nation-building tasks.

The Passing Out Parade marked a proud and memorable milestone for the young soldiers and their families as the Agniveers embarked on their journey of service, honour and commitment to the nation as the Sappers of the Future.
