A total of 73 cadets of the Army Cadet College (ACC) Wing at the Indian Military Academy graduated after successfully completing their three-year academic and military training programme during a ceremony held at the historic Chetwode Hall in Dehradun.
The graduation ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh, Commandant of the IMA, who conferred bachelor’s degrees awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University upon the graduating cadets.
Addressing the cadets, Lt Gen Nagendra Singh congratulated them on their achievement and highlighted the qualities essential for a successful Army officer, including character, self-discipline, courage, motivation, a positive attitude and professional competence.
The graduating batch comprised cadets of the 127th Army Cadet College Course, including 32 cadets from the science stream and 42 cadets from the humanities stream. Having completed their ACC training, the cadets will join the Indian Military Academy in July 2026 for pre-commissioning training before being commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.

COAS Medals for Outstanding Performance
Several cadets were recognised for their exceptional performance during the course.
- Wing Cadet Captain Naveen was awarded the prestigious Chief of Army Staff Gold Medal.
- Company Cadet Captain Avnish Kumar Mishra received the Chief of Army Staff Silver Medal.
- Wing Cadet Quartermaster Harshraj was awarded the Chief of Army Staff Bronze Medal.
In addition, Nubra Company was declared the Champion Company of the ACC Wing for its outstanding overall performance.
The Army Cadet College Wing plays a unique role in the Indian Army by providing serving soldiers an opportunity to become commissioned officers through a combination of higher education and military leadership training.

The curriculum is designed to ensure the holistic development of cadets by combining academic studies with rigorous military training, leadership development and character-building activities. The programme aims to prepare future officers capable of meeting the demands of modern military leadership.
The graduation ceremony marked an important milestone in the careers of the cadets as they move closer to earning their commissions and joining the officer cadre of the Indian Army.
