Lieutenant General H. S. Vandra, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area and Senior Colonel Commandant, Corps of Signals, visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, on 3 July 2026 to review the institution’s technology-driven initiatives and future warfare capabilities.

During the visit, Lt Gen Vandra reviewed cutting-edge projects and Centres of Expertise focused on drone fabrication and training, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technologies, 5G/6G communications and other emerging domains supporting national technology missions and the Indian Army’s modernisation efforts.

The General Officer also interacted with Regimental Commanders and discussed operational deployment strategies and the effective employment of Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities in the evolving multi-domain battlespace.

The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on leveraging emerging technologies, fostering innovation and strengthening operational capabilities to prepare a technologically advanced and future-ready force.
