July 23, 2026: Maj Gen Amaresh Gunjan, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Golden Key Division, conducted a comprehensive review of the operational readiness of an Infantry Battalion, assessing its combat preparedness, training standards, field innovations, and troop welfare.
During the visit, the General Officer evaluated the battalion’s ability to undertake operational tasks in diverse and challenging scenarios, with a focus on maintaining a high level of combat readiness. The review covered tactical preparedness, mission-oriented training, operational planning, and the adoption of innovative solutions designed to enhance battlefield effectiveness in an evolving security environment.
Maj Gen Amaresh Gunjan also reviewed the battalion’s field innovations, highlighting the importance of indigenous and practical solutions that improve operational efficiency and strengthen the unit’s overall fighting capability.
