New Delhi, July 26: Commander Abhay Amale has officially assumed command of the Indian Navy’s INAS 313, taking over as the fifth Commanding Officer of the prestigious naval air squadron from Commander Chandrakant Fulshe during a ceremonial parade held on 24 July 2026.
The change of command ceremony marked an important milestone for INAS 313, popularly known as the “Sea Eagles,” symbolising the seamless transition of leadership and the Indian Navy’s enduring tradition of professionalism and operational excellence.
Commander Abhay Amale, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, and the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, brings with him extensive professional experience and leadership to the squadron. His appointment reflects the Navy’s confidence in his ability to lead one of its key aviation units.
The ceremonial parade was conducted with full naval tradition, with officers and personnel of INAS 313 witnessing the formal transfer of command from Commander Chandrakant Fulshe, who completed his tenure as the squadron’s Commanding Officer.
