Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja, Director General Medical Services (Indian Air Force), reviewed medical preparedness, infrastructure and operational readiness of Medical Support Elements under South Western Command during his visit to Jaipur Military Station.
During the visit, Air Marshal Thareja assessed the medical plans and support mechanisms designed to meet frontline operational requirements. He reviewed the preparedness of healthcare facilities and examined the measures being undertaken to ensure seamless medical support during military operations.
The DGMS (IAF) inspected various military healthcare facilities at Jaipur Military Station and interacted with medical personnel. He appreciated the dedication, professionalism and exemplary service of medical teams in maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery for Armed Forces personnel.
Air Marshal Thareja emphasised the importance of continuous excellence, interoperability and enhanced coordination among the three Services. He highlighted that an efficient and integrated medical support system is essential for maintaining the operational effectiveness and resilience of the Armed Forces.
During the visit, he also interacted with Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command. The discussions focused on strengthening integrated medical support, improving jointness among the Services and ensuring mission-ready healthcare capabilities aligned with evolving operational requirements.
The visit underscored the commitment of the Armed Forces Medical Services towards building a robust and responsive healthcare network capable of supporting personnel across diverse operational environments.
By enhancing coordination between medical elements of the Army and Air Force, the initiative aims to further strengthen Tri-Services synergy and ensure that troops receive timely, effective and specialised medical support whenever required.
