Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited Bhuj Military Station and reviewed the operational preparedness, capability development and technology infusion initiatives being undertaken by the Bald Eagle Brigade.
During the visit, the Army Commander proceeded to forward areas of the Rann and Creek Sector to assess the preparedness of troops operating across the region’s distinctive and challenging terrain. He reviewed sector dynamics, infrastructure development and measures being undertaken to enhance operational capabilities.

Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar also reviewed critical marine infrastructure and specialised equipment supporting operations in the Creek Sector. The assessment focused on the ability of formations and units to effectively respond to operational requirements across the diverse terrain and maritime environment.
The Army Commander was briefed on ongoing capability development initiatives and the integration of modern technologies into operational and training practices. The emphasis on technology infusion reflects the Army’s efforts to enhance situational awareness, mobility and operational effectiveness.

During his interaction with troops, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar appreciated the professionalism, realistic training standards and commitment demonstrated by personnel of the Bald Eagle Brigade.
He also commended the formation for its effective absorption of technology and high standards of operational readiness. He emphasised the importance of maintaining agility and adaptability while preparing for emerging security challenges.
The Army Commander stressed that sustained training, innovation and capability development would remain essential to ensuring future readiness, particularly in operational environments characterised by difficult terrain and evolving challenges.

The visit reaffirmed Southern Command’s focus on strengthening operational preparedness, integrating emerging technologies and ensuring that troops remain agile, adaptable and mission-ready across the region.
