The Indian Army has released the merit list for the SSCW (NCC) Special Entry 124 course for women, scheduled to commence in October 2026. The merit list includes candidates provisionally placed according to merit, subject to availability of vacancies, medical fitness, educational qualifications and fulfilment of all prescribed eligibility criteria.
The course has a total of six vacancies, comprising five vacancies for the General Category and one vacancy reserved for Wards of Battle Casualty of Army personnel.
Candidates who have not yet submitted copies of all semester marksheets, their degree or provisional degree certificate and other requisite documents have been directed to submit the required documents immediately. The documents must be submitted through the prescribed channels on or before October 1, 2026, failing which their candidature may be cancelled.
Joining Letters will be issued strictly according to merit and will remain subject to vacancy, medical fitness, requisite educational qualifications and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions specified in the course notification.
The general merit list contains nine candidates. Shrshti Sharma, bearing Roll No. 850517, has secured Merit No. 1, followed by Feni Katariya with Roll No. 855336 at Merit No. 2.
Meher Chauhan, Roll No. 852874, has secured Merit No. 3, while Kadali Srinidhi, Roll No. 853152, and Ananya Mary Sebastian, Roll No. 854029, have secured the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Sakshi Kumari, Roll No. 850594, is placed sixth in the merit list, followed by Vanshika Parmar, Roll No. 850379, at seventh position.
Kesar Patil, Roll No. 853746, has secured Merit No. 8, while Rewa Panghal, Roll No. 850801, occupies the ninth position in the general merit list.
Under the Wards of Battle Casualty category, Arshia Ahmed, bearing Roll No. 852036, has been placed at Merit No. 1 against the reserved vacancy.
The NCC Special Entry Scheme provides eligible women NCC cadets an opportunity to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers. Candidates selected through the scheme undergo pre-commission training designed to develop military knowledge, physical fitness, leadership qualities, discipline and professional competence.
The release of the SSCW (NCC) Special Entry 124 merit list marks an important stage in the selection process for women candidates aspiring to pursue a career as officers in the Indian Army.
The shortlisted candidates must ensure timely completion of all documentation and other formalities prescribed by the Army. Final joining will depend on the availability of vacancies and the candidates meeting the required medical, educational and eligibility conditions.
The selected candidates who receive their Joining Letters will subsequently report for training as per the instructions issued by the Indian Army, beginning their journey towards commissioning as officers and serving the nation.
