Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, AVSM, SM**, Army Commander, Western Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of the Deep Strikers of Kharga Corps, with emphasis on jointness, technological innovation and precision capabilities for the future battlefield.
During the review, the Army Commander commended the formation for maintaining a high state of operational readiness and developing seamless synergy with the Indian Air Force. He also appreciated the induction of niche technologies and innovative solutions designed to address emerging battlefield challenges.
The initiatives are aimed at strengthening multi-domain capabilities through enhanced situational awareness and deep precision engagement, enabling formations to operate effectively in an increasingly complex and technology-driven battlefield environment.
Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh also witnessed a display of innovations featuring field-optimised solutions developed to enhance battlefield effectiveness. He exhorted personnel to remain agile and continuously adapt to evolving operational and technological paradigms.
In a separate engagement, the Western Army Commander visited Headquarters Delhi Area and reviewed key operational, security and capability-enhancement initiatives.
The review focused on optimal utilisation of resources, strengthening infrastructure, accelerating development projects and ensuring timely provisioning to further enhance operational preparedness.
Modernisation, training excellence and enhanced station security were also among the key areas highlighted during the visit, reflecting the Army’s continued effort to develop formations capable of responding effectively to future operational requirements.
The visits underscored Western Command’s focus on jointness, innovation, modernisation and mission-oriented preparedness as the Indian Army continues to build agile, resilient and future-ready formations.
