Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, visited Ladakh to review the development of the upcoming NCC Training Academy at Phyang in Leh.
During the visit, Lt Gen Virendra Vats inspected the ongoing infrastructure development at the academy and took stock of the progress of various construction works.

Officials briefed the DG NCC on the current status of the project and the infrastructure being developed to support training activities at the facility. He also reviewed the overall development of the academy and its planned training facilities.
The upcoming NCC Training Academy at Phyang is expected to significantly strengthen NCC training infrastructure in the Ladakh region. The facility will provide improved training opportunities and infrastructure for NCC cadets operating in the high-altitude region.

The visit underlined the NCC’s focus on expanding and strengthening its training infrastructure in strategically important and geographically challenging regions such as Ladakh.
